What is blue Pigment?
We all know blueberries are a beautiful blue colour, but did you know that blue pigment has a wide variety of benefits?
To begin with, the blue pigment found in wild blueberries is one of the richest sources of anthocyanin pigments ( antho-flowering plan; cyanin-blue), all you need is a daily serving for 40g for some amazing health benefits.
So what is anthocyanin?
The word anthocyanin comes from the words Anthos (flower) and kuanos (blue).
They are the plant compounds found in the skin of Wild Blueberries that give them their blue hue. Research suggests that anthocyanin work to reduce inflammation and is beneficial to humans.
